TRX network fees and processing: what a small sender pays and what operators say
Two charges touch a TRX deposit and they are easy to mix up: the one the network takes from the sender and the one the operator may add on its side. Operators write about the second and almost never about the first.
This note keeps them apart, and explains why we print no fee in coins anywhere on the site.
What does a TRX transfer cost the sender?
On Tron a transfer uses bandwidth. Every address receives a small free allowance, and staking coins can add to it. When the allowance is spent the network burns TRX from the balance instead. Moving a token such as USDT also uses energy, a second resource with the same burn rule. How much that comes to varies with network settings and with how much you hold, so we print no figure and no fee in coins.
Do operators charge to deposit TRX?
The ones that speak to it say no. Cloudbet's fee page says it does not charge deposit fees. Rollbit says it charges no deposit fees and that the sender pays the on-chain cost. BitStarz's deposit table shows 0 per cent for Tron. None of that includes the network charge in your own wallet, which is not the operator's to waive.
Is the withdrawal fee fixed?
Cloudbet charges a flat fee per withdrawal, and says the rate follows the network and can move without notice. Sportsbet.io's page says it covers the withdrawal fee. Those are two different arrangements for the same direction, and neither is a number that holds between two readings of the page, which is why we state the arrangement and not the amount.
Sportsbet.io, home page, under its list of minimums by coin: Deposit minimums are the amount Sportsbet.io receives after network fees, so send slightly more than the floor.
How do fees connect to the minimum?
Directly, for a small sender. If the floor is counted after fees, as Sportsbet.io says, a send of exactly the floor from a wallet with no bandwidth can arrive short. If it is not, the margin still has to come from the same wallet. In both cases the amount you can afford to send is the balance minus the margin, and for a balance of a few coins that is a noticeable fraction of it.
How long a deposit takes to count is a separate stage with its own numbers: 24 to 72 hours for the rare slow deposit at BetFury, five minutes at Duelbits, one to three confirmations for the coins Roobet lists. None of them is a promise about TRX unless the page says so.
Short answers on fees
Why does this site print no fee in coins?
Because network and operator fees change between two readings of a page. We state who pays and leave the amount to the cashier.
Does a zero deposit fee mean the transfer is free?
No. It means the operator adds nothing. The network charge in your wallet is separate.
Who pays Sportsbet.io's withdrawal fee?
The page says Sportsbet.io covers it.
